Charan Singh & Sons Ltd (CSSL) is an inspiration of a third generation Sikh family, based in Moshi, Tanzania. The family history is one of timber and furniture making which began in 1969. However in 1999, the growing market for transportation led to the beginning of a new journey for the Mudher-Bhamra Family. 

CSSL began its transportation venture with only three trucks. We are proud that the company has managed to extend its fleet to over 100 trucks and trailers which cover several destinations across 10 African countries. The CSSL transport operations are managed from our head office in Moshi, Tanzania and branch office in the commercial capital of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We are also well-recognized members of both the Transporters Association of Tanzania (TAT) & Tanzania Truck Owners Association (TATOA). Additionally, we are authorized under the Government Chemist Laboratory Authority (GCLA) to transport chemical products.

In order to meet the diverse needs of our clients, we aim to further expand our business by widening the range of cargo we transport. In the near future, we also plan to stretch our transportation network & routes to countries situated in the Northern & West African region. 

Our goal towards social responsibility is to promote an eco-friendly transportation service system which reduces our carbon footprint through incorporating modern engine technologies into our fleet. We have invested significantly into new truck models and the latest being the Scania P-series trucks which have one of the highest efficiency standards and low carbon emissions. 

In the future, we intend to continue focusing and investing into fuel-efficient transport methods, driver training programs and the continuous execution of high road & safety measures at all times. 

Our Accounts/Logistics & Technical service teams work around the clock to ensure that goods reach their destinations on time. 

Truck drivers and our teams at the office are in touch with each other throughout the journey via mobile tracking systems to ensure smooth and prompt delivery. 

Repairs or needed maintenance services are immediately carried out by our dedicated team of mechanics/technicians before the trucks depart for their journey. Back-up teams are also in place at strategic points for any breakdown or emergencies. 

Close follow ups are done by the management team on customer feedback in order to improve the quality of our services.
